ITC at the ‘Olive and Almond Colloquium’ by Magos Irrigation Systems in Ovibeja

On 30 April, ITC took part in the ‘Olive and Almond Colloquium – Present and Future’, held at Ovibeja and organised by our partner in Portugal, Magos Irrigation Systems. The event brought together numerous professionals from the agricultural sector to discuss the current state and future outlook of olive and almond cultivation, with a strong focus on technological innovation and efficient water management.

Xavier Martínez, Business Development Manager at ITC, actively contributed to the colloquium by presenting the latest industry developments in fertigation for intensive olive groves. He emphasised the benefits of fertigation in enhancing crop performance and sustainability, by delivering water and nutrients directly to the root zone with greater precision.

During his presentation, he also highlighted how fertigation enables more accurate and efficient crop management, supporting increased productivity and quality in olive production, while meeting the sector’s growing demands for sustainability and profitability.

At ITC, we remain firmly committed to agricultural innovation and knowledge transfer, driving the development of smart, sustainable cropping systems across the Iberian Peninsula.
