Magnetic Pumps

Quality and performance with the latest technology

Which electromagnetic dosing pump should I buy?

ITC electromagnetic pumps allow the dosing of all types of liquid products. All ITC dosing pumps are diaphragm pumps, so they accurately dispense small, constant volumes of liquids or chemicals. In addition, their hermetic design allows them to self-drain after use, reducing the risk of leaks and blockages.

ITC has 6 Dositec pumps with a flow rate of 2 – 20 l/h and a pressure of 18 bar. The choice of pump depends on the process requirements.

Each model in the range has its own particular characteristics:

  • DOSITEC – PR: PH, ORP(Redox) control.
  • DOSITEC – MF: Multifunction (Manual / Proportional / Analogue 4-20mA / Timer control).
  • DOSITEC – WMF: Multifunction (Manual / Proportional / Analogue 4-20mA / Timer control).
  • DOSITEC -WMD: Manual regulation of 0-100% by keyboard.

When is it advisable to choose this type of pump?

ITC electromagnetic dosing pumps are manufactured with materials that are resistant to most liquid products used in processes where it is necessary to dose a product into a hydraulic network. For this reason, they are commonly used in water treatment, agriculture, the food, textile and chemical industries, among other sectors.

It is advisable to choose electromagnetic pumps when a specific dosage of chemical products, additives or solutions is required in production or water treatment processes.

How does an electromagnetic dosing pump work?

Electromagnetic dosing pumps work as follows:

  1. Upon receiving an electrical signal, the electromagnetic motor is activated and generates a magnetic field.
  2. The magnetic field drives a piston or a diaphragm inside the dosing head, creating a suction movement.
  3. During the suction phase, chemical fluid is drawn from the reservoir or container through the inlet check valve and fills the suction chamber.
  4. Then, in the dosing phase, the piston or diaphragm moves in the opposite direction and presses the fluid into the discharge chamber.
  5. The dosed fluid is sent through the outlet check valve and can be used in the corresponding industrial process.

On the other hand, both the flow rate and the dosing accuracy can be adjusted by regulating the frequency of the electrical signal supplied to the electromagnetic motor.
