Today we talk with Marc Martínez Albaladejo, a member of the Iberian sales department at ITC.
With over 14 years at the company, Marc is a prime example of internal growth, having worked in various departments such as production, logistics, and more recently, the sales team. He tells us about this evolution, the lessons he’s learned, and what it means for him to be part of ITC.
Yes, of course. I started at ITC back in 2010 as a general operator. At that time, I was looking for a solid company with a good environment and growth opportunities, and I found exactly that. Over 14 years have passed, and I have evolved through different areas, which has kept me engaged and constantly learning something new.
It has been a personal challenge and very enriching. Each stage has taught me different lessons: in production, I learned to pay attention to detail; in logistics, I learned the importance of organization; and now, in sales, I’m developing a more communicative and strategic aspect.
Having worked in so many departments gives me a global perspective of how ITC works, which helps me a lot with clients.
Not every company offers such high internal growth opportunities, with the chance to switch between such different departments.
Without a doubt, working with clients. I’ve wanted to interact with them directly for a long time and put faces to the companies I used to just prepare orders for. I’m motivated by the opportunity to answer questions, follow up, and add value from a different perspective.
I’d say the atmosphere and the people. There’s a lot of teamwork, and even though ITC has grown significantly, it still retains that close-knit, family-like spirit. I also really appreciate that the company invests in its internal people, giving us the opportunity to grow and take on new challenges.
I have many. But one very special moment was during a company retreat, where we did an exercise where everyone shared a personal wish or dream. I remember when I shared mine, many colleagues came over to hug me and offer their support. That moment really stuck with me, and it’s a reflection of what ITC is all about: more than just a company, a family.
I hope to keep growing, improving, and learning every day, just as I have until now. I have my own personal goals, and I hope to achieve them one day — for now, I feel I’m on the right path.
Thank you, Marc, for sharing your experience with us. Stories like yours define the DNA of ITC: commitment, evolution, and passion for what we do.
